Chased up the consultant through the secretary this morning. He rang back within an hour and said the bloods were still going the right way! So.....can reduce pred to 30mg from tomorrow morning. More bloods as planned tomorrow (which won't reflect the reduction in pred now, as it could have been reduced on Weds morning!) Clinic Monday. Also had to chase Monday's appt again as it hadn't been booked. Then , have had to chase the letter that Proff Cramp said he would write for next Tuesday's meeting at work, as this has not been done either.....aghhhh!!!!!
Latest plan.............am not going to ask for "special leave" yet. Will see what they plan, then try to negotiate part time return to work in July at absolute earliest. Here's hoping they will agree.
Busy morning, but made myself have a rest this afternoon for a couple of hours. If I can get into a routine of being active in the morning, then having a rest, there is no reason why I couldn't work 4 mornings a week rather than three full days is there?? Anyway, rain is now hammering down, guess spring is over, off to see donks and see what they think of the plan

  1. Oh that's good news. What are your numbers now? disappointing that the pred could have been reduced a Few days earlier. You shouldn't have to be chasing your appointments, do they not book it after your consultation? I think 4 mornings a week sounds like a great plan and can't see why this would be a problem. I did a 12 hour stint in work today and have to say i went back to early. My numbers are still quite bad but apart from being tired im ok..or at least thought.By 2pm i had hit a brick wall and had no energy that even talking was an effort. Im not sure if i can keep pushing on. Coffee is my best friend at the moment:( Xx Emma

  2. Didn't get a chance to ask what the numbers were as my mobile cut him off! I can't believe you did a 12 hour shift.........no wonder you can't speak. Can you get them to give you 1/2 days for now? Even that would be hard I would think. xxxx

  3. Yes I was only meant to go in for 4 hours! However we have a new computer system being fitted that I am meant to be putting all the input into. There was so much to do I felt bad leaving early. I'm going to have a few days off now and possibly try and go in next Thursday.
I'm on 30mg of steroids now but really worried they are going to put it up further as my numbers are not changing at all. Just staying the same.
Have you had an endoscopy yet? xx(total change of subject ha) I am all over the place at the moment...don't know if its the steroids or caffeine xx Emma

  4. Oh Emma, be careful and get what rest you can before you have to go in again. Sounds like your numbers are doing what mine did, they didn't start to move down until I hit 60mg, I hope you don't have to have that. No I haven't had an endoscopy.........have you? Do I need one??!!? aghhh......
