Well it turns out that the blood results that were given to me yesterday were from a previous date.............not the 16th after all! So, when seen in clinic today, fearing the worst, I was pleasantly surprised to be told that in fact, my bloods are nearly normal, and only slightly in the red now!! I had spent 24hrs convinced it was all going wrong again. As it is, they have agreed to reduce the pred a tiny bit to 12.5mg, and leave the azathioprine at 75mg. I don't have to have bloods or be seen for 3 weeks....hooray. Very relieved by the news....so treated myself to treacle tart for tea tonight.

Hi Penny, So glad you had a lovely break in Dorset. We have been to Verona for a few days so haven't been online. Thank goodness your bloods are ok and how awful that they gave you the wrong results, you really could have done without that. I felt awful for you when I read it and would have found it hard to be positive for you as you are taking the right drugs etc. thank goodness it was a mistake! I hope the itching soon settles down. The hair loss will definitely stop and remember that it does continue to grow despite taking the Aza every day, it just takes quite a while to recover completely. I find that a leave in conditioner and a drop of Argan oil really helps. It sounds like you are definitely getting better and hopefully will be ok to return to work. Glad you like Swanage too! Have a good week. Love Jo x
ReplyDeleteOoo..I went to Verona years ago........Juliet's balcony......brilliant arena? Hope you had a good time. Have been using an argan oil shampoo and conditioner for a couple of months, but still seem to be losing alot all the time. Am considering a perm (haven't done that since the eighties!) to see if it will cover up all the different lengths, not sure if I'm brave enough foe such drastic action though!!
